Tell me about yourself...
Sounds like a simple question, doesn't it? But when you're meeting someone for the first time, knowing what to say can be surprisingly difficult. How do you introduce yourself without telling your entire life story?
Speed Networking gives you the chance to practise your introduction rather than just think about what you might say.
What can you expect?
Inspired by the speed-dating format, you'll meet different participants in a series of short, structured conversations.
We'll start with some time to prepare a short introduction about your background, strengths and what you're looking for.
You'll take turns introducing yourselves, asking follow-up questions and exchanging constructive feedback. After each conversation, you'll move on to a new partner, giving you the opportunity to put that feedback into practice.
Practise and improve your introduction
Over four rounds, you can gradually refine your introduction, explore different ways of presenting yourself and discover what works best for you.
Who is this workshop for?
Whether you find introducing yourself difficult or simply want more practice speaking with new people, this workshop offers a chance to learn from each other in a small group of fellow jobseekers.

Anna Apai
I'm a creative professional based in Rotterdam, with a background in graphic design, visual communication and social design. My experience ranges from branding and creative projects to working in customer-facing environments, where communication, organisation and collaboration play an important role. What Ive always enjoyed is not just the visual outcome, but also the process behind it: developing ideas, researching, planning and bringing different elements together to make something happen. I'm currently exploring opportunities to apply my experience beyond traditional design roles, building on my strengths in communication, organisation and working with people. I'm particularly interested in opportunities that combine creativity, coordination and communication, whether in events, cultural projects, creative organisations or community-focused initiatives. I'm looking to build on the skills I already have while continuing to develop professionally in new areas.
