Finding a job in today’s market is a challenge. A big one. Over the past few years, the market shifted from an employee’s market to an employer’s market. Spending half a year ‘between jobs’ and sending hundreds of applications is the new norm. It doesn’t matter how qualified or experienced you are.
Most traditional job-search advice focuses on the same things: CV, Cover Letter, LinkedIn Profile, Apply Fast, etc. Very little attention is given to the single element that impacts interview rate the most – Networking.
In this interactive online workshop, we will first break down where the traditional job-search method fails and how a networking-led search is different. We will discuss what referrals actually mean, why they impact staffing decisions, and how hiring really works from inside an organization. Then, we will go over what a networking-led job search looks like and how you can implement it yourself. Finally, we will explore typical mistakes and what holds many people back from networking for their next job.
