Dutch work culture and CV

Leerdoelen

  • Learn how to write a powerful Dutch CV
  • Understand key aspects of Dutch work culture

Understanding the Dutch work culture can be challenging. We've all heard these cultural stereotypes: the Dutch are very direct, always express their opinions, and have flat hierarchies in their companies. You probably already know this.

In this masterclass, we'll take it a couple of steps further: what stands behind these and other characteristics and how you can use this information to communicate more effectively, whether during job interviews or team meetings.

This workshop covers 2 essential topics of working in the Netherlands:

  1. Dutch work culture

  2. CV according to the Dutch standards

Creating a powerful CV:

• Learn how to create your resume according to Dutch standards.

• Understand the key components of a Dutch CV for the Dutch job market.

• If you wish to receive personal feedback on your CV during the workshop (we will review the CVs together with the group), you can email it to adelina@jobon.nl.

Dutch work culture:

• Key components of the Dutch work culture that are especially important to understand for newcomers.

Being an event manager didn't just give me professional skills. It gave me friends, a network, and a sense of belonging. Organizing those events, speaking to new people, and putting myself out there—it was all part of my growth.
